La Plata County will hold a farewell reception to honor the service of Assessor Craig Larson, County Manager Joanne Spina, General Services Director Mark McKibben and Senior Services Manager Sheila Casey, from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2 in the Board Room at County Administration Building, 1101 E. 2nd Avenue in Durango.

Larson is retiring from his elected position as county assessor after nearly 36 years in office. Spina has been a La Plata County employee for 30 years. Casey is retiring after more than 19 years of service, and McKibben has served in his role since 2012.
