The La Plata County Sheriff’s Office announces that Durango High School student Katrina Chandler is this year’s recipient of the County Sheriff’s of Colorado scholarship award for La Plata County.
CSOC offered a total of 31 awards of $500 this year to high school and college students to fund higher-level educational expenses for the 2017-18 academic year.
Selections were based upon several criteria, including leadership, merit, character, involvement, purpose and need. Applicants must attend a Colorado university, college or trade school.
