Open letter to the La Plata County Commissioners,
I am writing to state my objection to the decision made to close the Bayfield branch of the county clerk's office.
This office is one of the best benefits La Plata County has offered its second-largest population base.
Please reconsider this decision and search elsewhere for the ability to trim expenditures now that the oil and gas revenues have subsided.
We did plan for that, right? Knowing that oil and gas revenue was not going to last forever?
