County staff will hold a public meeting on the La Plata County 2016 budget at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 20 in the board room at the County Administration Building at 1101 E. Second Ave. in Durango. At this meeting, staff will provide a presentation regarding the current financial position of the county and the direction the county is heading in creating a budget for 2016 that supports the needs of our community. After the presentation, the public will have the opportunity to provide input into the development of the 2016 budget.

"Citizens' input is highly valued and we look forward to hearing from the residents of La Plata County regarding their ideas and suggestions as we begin to develop the 2016 County Budget" said Joe Kerby, La Plata County Manager. Residents who are unable to attend but would like to provide input may email their suggestions, comments or concerns to CountyAdmin@co.laplata.co.us.
