As hospitals and health officials prepare for what many expect to be another winter of rising levels of COVID-19 and flu viruses, Nomi Health is collaborating with the Colorado of Public Health and Environment to offer COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters at a walk-in clinic at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.
Vaccinations are available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Vaccines include Moderna and Pfizer first and second dose vaccines, as well as the new bivalent booster shots, which are designed to be more effective against the Omicron variants. Vaccinations are available for adults and children, including the newly approved bivalent boosters for children age 5-11. Walk-ins are accepted or appointments can be scheduled online.
