To address increased community demand for COVID-19 testing, the San Juan Basin Public Health Community Testing Site moved to the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave., effective Monday.
Testing is available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday and Saturday. There is no testing Fridays.
The new site, which allows for expanded capacity and smoother traffic flow, is made possible by support from partners, including the city of Durango and La Plata County. Testing at the Durango Public Library ended Saturday.
With the importance of testing in fighting the spread of the virus, SJBPH wants to make it as convenient and accessible as possible for everyone and will continue to work to expand COVID-19 testing options in our community, in collaboration with community partners.
