La Plata County Emergency Operations Center is coordinating free community COVID-19 testing in two locations:

10 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday to Thursday and Saturday, La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.9 a.m.-noon, Wednesdays and Fridays, Upper Pine Fire Protection District Administration Building, 515 Sower Drive. Testing is available to anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or those who believe they may have been exposed to the virus either through known contact or general community interaction. No appointment is needed. Test site volume fluctuates. Be prepared to wait for the test to be administered.
