The 28th annual Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering parade will begin at 10 a.m. Oct. 1 in downtown Durango, with events scheduled throughout the day.
A 6 a.m. chuckwagon breakfast at Fifth Street and Main Avenue will kick things off, with live music beginning at 9:30 a.m. Performers will include “American Idol” finalist Jeneve Rose Mitchell, Tim Sullivan, the DAC Applause Group and more. Poetry events begin Sept. 29 and run through Oct. 2.
