Crews to repair guardrails along U.S. Highway 160 between Durango, Bayfield

Colorado Department of Transportation beginning Monday will repair a damaged guardrail on U.S. Highway 160 between Durango and Bayfield.

Colorado Department of Transportation beginning Monday will repair a damaged guardrail on U.S. Highway 160 between Durango and Bayfield.

Work will occur near County Road 223, about 5 miles west of Bayfield. The guardrail was damaged in a two-vehicle crash May 24.

Drivers will encounter brief delays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday. Delays will last no longer than 15 minutes through a one-lane, alternating traffic zone.

The speed limit will be reduced to 40 mph and strictly enforced. CDOT urges drivers to slow down and be aware of workers and equipment on the road.
