Crow Canyon Archaeological Center recently hired Elizabeth Perry as its new president and CEO, effective Jan. 1.

Perry currently serves on the Crow Canyon Board of Trustees and replaces Deborah Gangloff, who will retire from the position after eight years on Oct. 31.

“The research, education and partnership building being done at Crow Canyon is transformational in the world, and I am proud to have this chance to work alongside our world-class talent to realize our greatest impact, now and in the future,” Perry said in a news release.

Perry graduated from Arizona State University, earned a doctorate in anthropology from University of Arizona and began at Crow Canyon as an intern in 1995. She started work at SWCA Environmental Consultants in 2002, where she became Pacific West vice president, and was hired as CEO of the Alaska Native corporation Koniag Inc. in 2014.

Perry joined the Crow Canyon Board of Trustees in 2016 before being named president and CEO of the organization.
