Cultural Center seeks Native artists

The Southern Ute Cultural Center & Museum is looking for five contemporary and traditional Native American artists from the Four Corners region to participate in the Art Leadership Program. This is a grant project in collaboration with the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) Smithsonian Institution.

Selected artists will work with the SUCCM collections manager and conduct research at local museums, present art talks, receive professional management training, and lead a youth public art project. Native artists must be well-qualified to research Native objects in museum and other collections, document their work, and network at the local institutional level.
