As a longtime resident of Durango, it seems clear to me that Alison Dance tried to do the right thing for her employees and honestly admitted her mistakes in complying with our unnecessarily complicated labor laws.
I feel that The Durango Herald used needlessly inflammatory words to try to create a more “newsworthy” front page article on a months-old issue.
I, for one, intend to show my support for Alison by eating more frequently at the Cyprus Cafe.
I urge those who agree with me to do the same.
