Dispose of unused or expired prescription medications safely during DEA National Drug Take Back Day, hosted by the Durango Police Department, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 22 at the Durango Police Substation, 545 Wilson Gulch Drive.
Tablets, capsules, patches and other solid forms of prescription drugs will be accepted. The station will not accept liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes, sharps or illegal drugs. Vaping devices and cartridges will be accepted at the drop-off location. Lithium batteries must be removed before discarding.
Food donations for Manna soup kitchen will also be accepted. Useful items include: canned goods (fruits, vegetables, meats, meals) or packaged meals in single or group serving sizes (ramen, pasta, oatmeal, cereal, granola). Personal hygiene products are also welcome.
