The course Sunday included double- and single-track racing through the Palmer Divide and Black Forest, through forests and meadows at 7,000 feet. Each 5.8-mile loop climbed 540 feet.

The mountain bike series will finish Oct. 19 with the Haymaker Classic in Eagle, where almost 700 high school cyclists will have one more opportunity to ride for a championship.
