I just came across the word “despairalyzed” to describe my feelings since learning the results of the recent election. I am at the bottom of a deep pit despairing of the direction of this country. I cannot believe that there are so many people who have drunk the Kool-Aid of a grifter, a carnival barker and convicted felon. He will pass, but the dishonor of those voters will last forever.
I have come to the conclusion that sleazy Elon Musk and the tech industry with AI somehow had a hand in the election totals. There is no way that 11 million fewer people voted in this election compared to 2020. There is no way all the swing states went that way. Considering the threat to the constitution, women, immigrants and the rule of law, it boggles my mind to think that Americans would prefer a fascist. It is just not possible.
