DGOV reminds viewers to rescan TVs

Recent equipment upgrades to Durango Government Television’s over-the-air signal means viewers will need to rescan their televisions to continue viewing DGOV and 9News programming starting Monday, Sept. 23.

DGOV channels 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3 are not changing channel identification numbers, but will be viewable only after rescanning.

Rescanning is a simple three step process:

Press menu on the remote control.Select setup or channels.Choose “air” or “antenna,” then select channel scan or auto tune.Exact terms and procedures for some televisions may vary. For specific instructions, refer to the television’s owner manual.

Viewers must have a VHF/UHF antenna. Antennas should be near a window facing Smelter Mountain. Up to 23 channels can be viewed from Smelter for free. Signal strength is based on location. Reception is not guaranteed.
