Members of the Durango High School Jazz Ensemble performed at the Fort Lewis College Jazz Festival on Feb. 28 and received the Outstanding Ensemble of the day, taking first place. This is the first time the DHS Jazz Ensemble was the highest-scoring band. Holden Becher, Ella Gavlinski and Shane McBride also received Outstanding Soloists.
DHS Jazz Ensemble members are: Joe Baldwin, Holden Becher, Warner Becher, Celia Chick, Ben DeBelina, Braeden Driscoll, Clara Galbraith, Brandon Gallegos, Sean Garretty, Ella Gavlinski, Wyett Hollman, Ryan Johnson, Lily Longan, Roland Madrid, Julian Martin, Shane McBride, Christopher Plauth, Landon Roberts, Aiden Robinson, Joshua Snowberger, Ian Swan, Iz Tenorio and Shayla Warren.
