The Durango High School Student Council is running a project to help underprivileged families in the community. “Project: Holiday Helpers” has trees up at the Durango Public Library, Natures Oasis and the Durango High School. The trees have ornaments on them with items from children’s wish lists.
Members of the community can go to any of these locations and pick an ornament to fulfill. The gifts on the ornament must be returned to Durango High School no later than Monday, Dec. 12. Student Council members will distribute the gifts the following days.
