Two runners from Durango High School set stadium records in Bayfield at the Pine River Invite on Saturday as DHS won both the boys’ and girls’ team titles.
Damian Frausto won the 1,600-meters race in 4 minutes, 27.59 seconds, and Land Lambert won the 3,200 in 9:45.41 to set stadium records.
Nykole Meshaw kept some gold in Bayfield, winning the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 2 inches.
Lexy Young of Ignacio won the 200 in 28.46, crossing just ahead of Bayfield’s Abby Tate.

Durango 3, Telluride 0
The Durango High School girls soccer team improved to 7-0 overall with a 3-0 shutout against Telluride on Saturday. Mason Rowland scored all three goals, getting assists from Makayla Wayman and Sophie Ragsdale.
Bayfield 2, James Irwin 1
The Bayfield High School girls soccer team picked up its first win of the season, 2-1, over James Irwin Charter on Saturday.
Crested Butte 8, Ignacio 0
The Ignacio High School girls soccer team hosted league foe Crested Butte on Saturday, but was blanked by the Titans 8-0.
Grand Junction 13, Durango 4
The Durango High School boys lacrosse team took on Grand Junction on Saturday, but trailed 7-1 after the first quarter and eventually fell to the Tigers, 13-4. Harris Halverstadt scored two goals while Henry Howe and Jesse Bader each scored once.
