The Four Corners Volleyball Club has canceled the 2020 Diggin’ It in Durango tournament.

The annual club volleyball tournament was scheduled to be held April 4-5. Because of facility closures at Fort Lewis College as well as La Plata County high schools as well as an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, better known as the new coronavirus, Four Corners Volleyball Club decided to cancel the tournament that brings roughly 100 teams to the Durango area each spring.

“The 2020 Diggin’ It in Durango, Sat-Sun, April 4-5, is canceled due to campus facility closures, public event health concerns,” Four Corners Volleyball Club director Terene Foutz said in a Twitter post. “Community safety is our priority. We’ll be back in 2021!”
