Dear Mr. Santiago Abreu:
The disabled citizens of Durango appreciate your concern for accessibility (Herald, May 3), but please give our community a chance to deal with this issue and allow other communities all across the country the opportunity to fix things with their neighbors on their own.
As a disabled citizen of Durango and a proud American, I do not appreciate someone like you abusing the legal system and suing individual businesses across the country.
That money could be better utilized to improve accessibility for the disabled.
