San Juan Basin Public Health will host a presentation on “Deconstructing Equity: exploring the world of diversity, equity and inclusion” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, at Ignacio High School Auditorium.
Dr. Nita Mosby Tyler will give the presentation. Tyler is the founder and principal trainer at The Equity Project, LLC. She was also recently named “9News 2019 Leader of the Year.” She will discuss definitions of diversity, inclusivity, equity, equality and fairness for a better understanding of bias; personal power as a result of equity exploration; the impact of language on systems of equity; how to manage, navigate and evaluate in a diversity, equity and inclusion framework.
The event is free and open to the public. Light snacks will be provided.
