Bayfield Elementary School students watch in amazement as Eric Melvin commands his dog Angelyne to jump and remove a treat from his mouth during a performance Wednesday. Angelyne is totally deaf, but she has more than 40 hand signals in her “nonverbal vocabulary,” which Melvin spotlights in the educational and inspirational performance.
