Dolores County Colorado State University Extension director and development corporation chairman Gus Westerman received an award for excellence in economic development from the Economic Development Council of Colorado Oct. 2 in Vail.
The award is given to an outstanding, non-practicing economic-development volunteer who demonstrated a multi-year commitment to the vitality, growth and sustainability of the Colorado economy.
Westerman serves as chairman of the all-volunteer Dolores County Development Corporation.
