Bayfield Kids for Kids, the backpack program sponsored by the Bayfield Family Center and Pine River Shares, again has a challenge grant and is asking for community help.

Until Thursday, Nov. 26, any financial donation will be matched by an anonymous donor.

The center sent home 2,062 backpacks with students last year, providing food over weekends and holidays to families in need.

In addition to cash donations, the center collects donations of food that are sent home in the backpacks. Volunteers load the backpacks every Thursday afternoon.
