Don’t forget the Maylasian 17 victims

Last month was the third anniversary of the murder of 298 people, including 80 children, by the Russian 53rd Anti-Aircraft Rocket Brigade, which shot down a Boeing 777 with a missile over Ukraine on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.

I was disappointed that no one in any media outlet even mentioned the tragedy, although there were numerous stories of “fake news” regarding denials by President Trump regarding Russian meddling in our election, and 87 percent of Republicans and 80 percent of evangelicals still supporting the president no matter what.

I even heard from people I consider friends who happen to be Republicans and Evangelicals when the Trump story came up that “the Russia thing does not matter.”

When the world tried to get justice for the families of the Maylaysian Airlines 17 victims, we even know the names of the Russians involved, via the United Nations our president’s friend Vladimir Putin used his veto power to stop any investigation.

Wake up America, the Russians are not your friends. And yes, to me the lives lost by this senseless act matter. God Bless America.
