Don’t like ‘implication’ Dems anti-business

On Friday, Colorado Competitive Council Executive Director Rachel Beck was quoted as saying to the Durango Chamber of Commerce that “extreme politics are harming small business through bills driven by political agendas.” Then she pointed to the number of Democrats at the Capitol as causing this.

But as I read on, the two bills that she and others felt to be “anti-business” did not pass, and two bills that were considered “business-positive” did pass. So while one or two legislators may have introduced bills that Durango business people might not favor, the General Assembly voted them down.

I’m a proud registered independent, but I don’t appreciate the implication that Democrats currently in office are all “anti-business.” I find Beck’s insinuation divisive and driven by a political agenda rather than logic, (her words in an indirect quote).
