Don’t print letters promoting prejudice

Thank you to Will Rottenberg for his letter (Herald, March 29) regarding subtle racism in previous letters published by the Herald on the subject of Israel and Jewish people.

I was raised in a Southern, reform-Jewish home. I was taught I am an American first, and Judaism is my religion.

My family had both thoughtful and raucous discussions about Israel.

There was not agreement amongst us about Israel’s actions over time, and that remains true today. To state otherwise and paint all Jews as Israelis or supporters of the current prime minister is wrong.

Moreover, I completely agree and strongly urge the Herald to not print letters which promote anti-Semitism or any form of prejudice.
