Oh, please, think of the future of our town and our Animas riverfront and don’t allow a hotel to take that space.
Think of the traffic nightmare and drastic mitigation between Camino and the Animas River that would be necessary. Let that space be for our town rather than for more tourists.
Can the city not purchase this property and let a public space evolve for future generations?
There is plenty of space for unsightly hotels in Durango other than in the middle of our sweet town, and on our ever-so-sweet Animas River.
