I am hoping it was a “misstatement” by Gov. Polis. He can’t really be thinking about springing Tina Peters from the slammer, can he? She was in cahoots with the Trump team to overturn the 2020 election by allowing fellow schemers to tamper with the voting equipment and the computers with the passwords she provided to them.
The only reason I can imagine the governor even considering such a folly would be a threatening call from the Oval Office. After all, Trump has shut down the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder to placate fossil fuel executives who donated hundreds of millions of dollars to his campaign.
It is already plainly clear we are in the grip of an authoritarian regime in bed with the Gilded Age 2.0 corporations.
One can only hope Gov. Polis holds to the Rule of Law instead of genuflecting to Trump.
