Guitarist Robby Krieger and drummer John Densmore, the surviving members of The Doors, are planning a live tribute to Ray Manzarek, Rolling Stone reports.

Manzarek, the band’s keyboardist, died of cancer at age 74 in May.

“We’re going to do at least one show for Ray and have a big send-off,” Krieger told the magazine, hinting at a possible reunion to follow. “That’s either the start or the end of it, I don’t know.”

A feud began in 2002 after Krieger and Manzarek began touring as The Doors of the 21st Century, prompting Densmore’s lawsuit over the use of the band’s name and a $40 million countersuit against Densmore for refusing to license Doors songs for commercials. The battle is detailed in Densmore’s book, The Doors Unhinged.

Despite the bad blood, the three contributed to the Skrillex track “Breakin’ a Sweat” in 2001 and a Tech N9ne remake of “Strange Days,” due July 30.

Krieger expresses hope that he can mend fences with Densmore, who is “the one that got me in The Doors,” he says. “What am I going to do? I can’t hate him forever. I just wish he had wanted to play with Ray and I back before all this started. That’s when things went bad.”
