Fort Lewis College women's lacrosse junior Haley Dostie has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league on Monday.
The honor is the first of Dostie's Skyhawks career and the first for the team since the 2017 season. The recognition is well-deserved for the Parker, Colorado native who continued to rack up the points in a conference split last week. Dostie totaled eight goals and three assists for 11 points, bringing her season points total to 41 through 10 games. Her 4.10 points per game average leads all RMAC players with three regular-season games to go.
She ranks second in the conference with 3.5 goals per game. In addition to her point-scoring ability, Dostie racked up six ground balls and six draw controls – including a win-sealing draw control in the final 44 seconds of play versus Westminster College.
Dostie has 35 goals on the year, matching her season total from last season – a mark which she set through 16 games. She has four-straight four-goal games and has scored two or more goals in all but two games this season. Dostie netted a career-high seven goals on two occasions this season.
Looking at career statistics, the junior already ranks fifth all-time in points (109), third in points per game (2.87), fifth in goals (92), and first in goals per game (2.42). In single-season program history and with three guaranteed games remaining, Dostie ranks fourth in points per game (4.10), seventh in goals (35), and second in goals per game (3.50).
Up next, the Skyhawks will be back home this Saturday to host a Nike N7 game in celebration of the tribal lands which Fort Lewis College is situated upon.
