A storm drainage pipe rehabilitation project will start Monday from College Drive to 12th Street, between East Second Avenue and Main Avenue.
Work will be conducted from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and is expected to conclude May 25.
The city of Durango hired AUI Inc. to install structural liners into the existing 12- and 18-inch clay pipes. The project will extend the pipes’ lifetime and prevent the need for major excavation projects in the future.
Drivers and cyclists are encouraged to follow signs displayed in the work area and use directed alternate routes. Parking restrictions may also be in place intermittently.
The project is funded by the city of Durango General Fund.
