Durango's Streets Department will be removing snow and ice from midnight through about 7 a.m. Friday in the downtown area.

Any vehicle parked overnight at metered parking spaces is subject to being ticketed and towed. This includes Main Avenue, East Second Avenue, Narrow Gauge Avenue and all cross streets.

Employees and customers of late-night businesses can park at the Transit Center parking lot, the three lots on East Second Avenue, and other private parking lots. But drivers should not leave cars in those lots overnight.

The city of Durango is responsible for plowing snow from 164 lane miles of roads within the city limits and removing snow from 55 city blocks in the central business district.
