Durango Arts Center reschedules winter lecture series

Because of February’s heavy snowstorms, the Durango Arts Center has rescheduled its sixth annual winter lecture series to begin March 7 and continue into April. The one-hour presentations will examine how paintings, poetry and music interact with each other. The goal is to explore new conversations about art and artists.

The first and last three lectures will be presented by Judith Reynolds and Carol Schmudde.

The second presentation now scheduled for March 14, will be given by Reynolds and Daniel Morgenstern.

Free and open to the public, the series continues a tradition begun in 2014 under the umbrella “Art as a Matter of Life and Death.” The speakers all contribute their time as a gift to the educational offerings at the Arts Center.
