The Durango Arts Center is calling all local thespians to audition for its October shows.
The Ten-Minute Play Festival is looking for actors older than 16 to audition. There is no need to prepare anything; the directors will provide sides for cold reads from each of the seven plays.
Auditions will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 23 and 24 in the Durango Arts Center Theater, 802 East Second Ave. Auditioners only need to come to one audition time. Rehearsals will be scheduled by each director according to cast availability.
Performances will be Oct. 15 and 16 (evening) and Oct. 17 (matinee).

“The Rocky Horror Show” has moved to the Durango Arts Center. Auditions will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 26. Actors are asked to prepare a monologue and a 1- to 1.5-minute selection from a song (16-32 bars). Performers need to be 21 or older because of sexually explicit material and revealing costumes.
Performances will be Halloween weekend.
