Durango author Blake Crouch’s series set in a remote Idaho town is set to premiere at 8 p.m. Thursday on FOX-TV, Channel 8 on Charter Cable.
The 10-part series “Wayward Pines” is directed by M. Night Shyamalan of “Sixth Sense” fame and features actor Matt Dillon as protagonist Ethan Burke.
Also starring are Academy Award-winner Melissa Leo, Juliette Lewis and Terrence Howard.
FOX is claiming that the series launch, which will take place in more than 125 countries, will be the “biggest day and data launch ever” for a scripted series.
How creepy is it? Burke, a Secret Service agent, wakes up with no identification, no badge, no wallet and no memory, and his day goes downhill from there.
Crouch said at the end of Pines, the first book in the three-book series, it was inspired by David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks.”
