Durango Bird Club will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in room 108 of the Education Business Hall at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive.
The topic of discussion will be “Birding El Triunfo, Chiapas, Mexico,” and will be given by Kristi Streiffert.
Streiffert will present a virtual visit to a remote and rugged cloud forest in southern Mexico. Only a handful of tourists are allowed into Triunfo Biosphere Reserve each year. Visit this protected and endangered habitat through photographs and videos and through stories from a former “Living Bird” writer who visited the reserve in the early 2000s.
