The Durango Botanical Society will host a member and community appreciation party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 10 at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
Members and non-members are welcome.
Attendees will discover new member benefits, learn about plans for future gardens, a new mobile app and meet the new class of graduating docents. Activities will be available for children, prize drawings and a silent auction will be held for adults. Among the auction items will be an original oil painting by Annette LeMaire, as well as merchandise from local retailers and nursery partners.
All proceeds will support the Durango Botanic Gardens. The event is free, but pre-registration is requested by Aug. 7 for food planning purchases. Register online at www.durangobotanicalsociety.com or by calling 880-4841.
