Durango Business Improvement District to meet

Mr. and Mrs. Claus wave as they leave Buckley Park last year after the lighting of the tree during Noel Night. Noel Night is an event put on by members of the Durango Business Improvement District and sponsors. Event planning will be discussed in the upcoming meeting.

The Durango Business Improvement District will host its monthly “Coffee and Conversation” meeting at 8:30 a.m. Friday in the Durango City Hall Smith Chambers.

BID members will meet to discuss upcoming events and open the floor for community input and feedback.

Some of the upcoming events include the 17th annual Artisan’s Holiday Gift Show and Sale at the Henry Strater Hotel, the Winter Solstice Artisan Market at the Durango Arts Center, “Singing Santa” at First National Bank of Durango, Noel Night and the Festival of Trees.

Visit www.downtowndurango.org for a list of downtown events.

Pastries and coffee will be provided by Ballantine Communications.

The group meets every second Friday of each month. The next meeting will take place Dec. 12.
