The 30th annual
Tickets are $10 for adults, and kids 5 and younger are free. Advance tickets are available at www.durangocowboygathering.org.
The Cowboy Poetry Gathering Parade will start at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad depot, 479 Main Ave., and will proceed down Main to 12th Street.
An Old West gunfight will take place immediately before the parade just north of the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave.
Online entries for parade participation will be accepted until Thursday. Early registration is recommended.
Registration and check-in tables will open at 8:15 a.m. Saturday at the corner of Fifth Street and East Third Avenue for entries with animals and across from the railroad depot for entries with no animals.
