The Durango Dharma Center will host a daylong retreat about cultivating active hope on Saturday, Aug. 3, at the center, 1800 East Third Ave.
Visiting facilitator Della Z. Duncan will offer an experiential workshop called “The Work That Reconnects,” originally created by the environmental activist and Buddhist scholar Joanna Macy.
Through exercises and meditations, the workshop is designed to build creativity, courage and solidarity for a more enlivening human culture. Participants will learn to transform grief, anger and fear and into love, compassion and motivation.
