Durango Dharma Center to offer beginning meditation class

For the first time since the pandemic started, the Durango Dharma Center will offer a “Fundamentals of Insight Meditation” class in person at the meditation hall.

In this five-week course, participants will learn the basics of insight (vipassana) meditation. Classes will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, starting Sept. 30, at the center, 1800 East Third Ave., Suite 109.

The course will include short guided meditations, talks, discussions and plenty of time for questions and answers.

To protect the health and safety of all, participants are required to be vaccinated and masked when in the center.

The fee for the course is on a sliding scale from $20 to $60. Scholarships are available.
