The People of Color Sangha is a new group at the Durango Dharma Center that welcomes anyone identifying as a person of color to gather together.
Sangha is the ancient Pali word for community – community connected by a shared intention to explore Buddhist-based practices of mindfulness, wisdom and compassion.
Meetings will include meditation followed by dharma discussion facilitated by Yong Oh, a community dharma leader and retreat teacher in training.
People of color looking for community support are invited to join this drop-in group from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on April 21, June 2 and July 14 at 1800 East Third Ave., Suite 109.
