El Moro Spirts & Tavern is the winner of the 2014 Colorado Roots Restaurant Challenge that highlights the top examples of farm-to-table sourcing.
The competition, sponsored the Colorado Tourism Office, was open to locally owned Colorado restaurants that feature local products, are green-minded and use sustainable practices.
Second place went to Farm Bistro of Cortez. The Grand Junction restaurant 626 on Rood was third-place winner.
The winners were announced at the Taste of Colorado reception at the Governor’s Tourism Conference held in Westminster on Oct. 30.
