The next monthly meeting of San Juan Archaeological Society will be held beginning at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 10 in the foyer of Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive.

The meeting will be held in person and over Zoom and will feature next John Kappelman, who will present, “Lucy: 3.2 million-year-old fossil hominin.” Kappelman recently retired from the University of Texas at Austin and now lives in Pagosa Springs. Some of his work included analyzing possible perimortem trauma of Lucy’s skeleton.
