Highlight of the Week

The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is getting ready to kick off its summer season, which begins Saturday, with its annual Narrow Gauge Day on Friday – and everyone’s invited. The party will include a complimentary lunch of hots dogs, chips and cookies, and soda, and live music by the Bar D Wranglers. You are also invited to check out the Presidential Train and visit the free museum. The celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the train station, 479 Main Ave. For more information, visit www.durangotrain.com.
