Highlight of the week

20MOONS Dance Theater is back this weekend with “Branches Boxes and Threads,” a performance/art installation. Viewings will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday; noon-8 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. The public is invited to come and go anytime within these hours. The show will be held at Stillwater, 1316 Main Ave. Ste C. No tickets are required – performances are offered by donation.

“Boxes, Branches and Thread” is a collaborative performance/art installation between 20MOONS musicians and dancers along with visual artists Marje Cristol, Elsa Jagniecki, Julia Klema, Mary Ellen Long, Erin Mahoney, AliciaRose Pastore and Mariah Richstone. This is a real-time co-creation in movement, music and materials offering a long-form meditation on the nature of change and our relationship to it through cycles of creation and destruction and everything in between. Visitors are invited to attend this event at any time, to stay as long as they like, to come and go and come back again to see what has changed. While in the space, the public is welcome to wander through, to help build installations when prompted, to witness, and to make personal meaning as they write or orate the story of the unfolding events as they see them, if inspired.
