Highlight of the week

HomesFund will hold a homebuyer education class from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive.

The class covers the process of homebuying, including budgeting, real estate, lending, insurance and Inspections. Down payment assistance programs offered by HomesFund will also be covered.

There is a $15 materials fee for a workbook – one workbook per household is needed for the course, and additional workbooks can be purchased. The fee is required to be paid through PayPal at registration. Child care will not be provided. No children or pets are allowed at the event.

Attendees must arrive early for check-in. Class is closed for check-in by 8:40 a.m. All sections must be completed in order to receive a certificate.
