Durango Green Drinks will be held Thursday night at 11th Street Station, 1101 Main Ave. (Durango Herald file)
Highlight of the week

Durango Green Drinks will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at 11th Street Station, 1110 Main Ave. The hosts for this month will be the city of Durango’s Sustainability Office and Durango Farmers Market.

The monthly event has been a consistent gathering in Durango for more than 10 years. This year’s calendar of hosts includes more than 20 local sustainability-related organizations.

Green Drinks is held from 5 to 7 p.m. at 11th Street Station on the last Thursday of each month from February to October, with November’s event taking place earlier in the month because of Thanksgiving.

Green Drinks is an informal networking event where sustainability-minded people meet over drinks (nonalcoholic beverage welcome). The Sustainability Alliance of Southwest Colorado envisions a thriving community where people collaborate to support a resilient local economy and a healthy natural environment.
